My name is Leticia Ingram. I have a Bachelor's in Education (Math), a Master's in Education (Cross Cultural Communications/Religion) from Abilene, Texas and a 2nd Master's in ELL from Adam State in Alamosa, Colorado. I have taught all ages in Asia (mostly Philippines and Cambodia),The Gambia,Mexico and Basalt, CO (including BES and BHS). This is my 5th year here at Basalt High School and I love it. I have a passion for the studying about people and  world. I am so excited to share this with your kids.

My name is Eric Vozick, and I have a M.S. in Environmental Education from Antioch-New England (NH) and a B.S. from University of New Hampshire in Environmental Conservation/Wildlife Management.  I have been living in Basalt for over a decade and this is my second year teaching at Basalt High School after a varied career in both the for-profit and non-profit worlds.   This is going to be a great year and a fun exploration of American History.

What are we doing here?

THE GOAL OF THE COURSE
The goal of this course is to shape each student into a critical thinker for all students. Our goal is for your children to use the historical knowledge to assess and problem-solve current issues. With a focus on 21st Century Skills and character building, this course will include a great deal of group collaboration, research, argument and thesis-development, and sharing ideas in a wide range of mediums (especially in writing).
